Japanese people are very strict about garbage separation. Please separate your garbage according to the trash guide and leave it at a right garbage collection site on a right day. Also, please follow your area’s rules.

Please don’t pour out the grease in the kitchen sink .Please be careful not to let trash run in drains. Please don’t flash anything but toilet paper in toilets. Please clear out the hair in drains at bath rooms. These things will prevent from getting clogged drains.

| NOISE |

You may have parties at home. But please try to keep the noise down especially early in the morning and late at night. (After 8 pm) If you live in an apartment, a town house or a house that neighbors are very close, please don’t play your stereo or television to loud. Japanese walls are very thin. Please do not run the washer machines late at night.

| FIRE |

Please don’t smoke inside. Also, when you smoke outside, don’t throw cigarettes and always use ashtray. Please don’t BBQ on the balconies. Please keep your eyes on when you use candles.

| JAPANESE ROOM (TATAMI ROOM) |

Tatami is not strong enough for heavy furniture. So please cover Tatami with furniture coasters or Japanese carpet. Shouji is made out of the thin paper and sliding doors are very delicate and get damaged easily. (about 2000yen to repair for each). So please be careful.
